Do you want to customize or edit the Tumblr account settings? You’re in the right place. In this tutorial, I will guide you step-by-step on how to do.

Tumblr account settings are essentials settings of your blog that allows you to customize email, password, security, language, birthday, and content you see. You can also view active sessions, and delete your Tumblr account.

Tumblr account settings are comprised of seven sections and a delete option. I have covered these sections in the same sequences as they are on account settings.

  • Go to Settings from the sidebar.

Go to Account tab from the right sidebar. It is the default tab of Tumblr settings.

The Email option allows you to change your email address through which you had signed-up for Tumblr. It prompts for your password before you change/edit email address.

The Password option allows you to change the password of your Tumblr account. It prompts you to enter the current password and new password.

There are two Security options (1) If you enable Email me about account activity you will receive an email when you or someone logs into your Tumblr account or a new app is authorized (2) If you enable Two-factor authentication Tumblr sends a code to your mobile phone via SMS. In addition to password you have to enter the code during the log in process.

The Language option allows you to change the language of your Tumblr blog. It offers plenty of languages such as English, Deutsch, Francais, Italiano, Turkce, Esponal, Portugues, Polski, and many more.

Go to Account tab. It contains Email, Password, Language , and Security options.

Some content on Tumblr can only be viewed if you’re old enough. Birthday is provided during the sign up, afterwards you can’t change except in two cases. Read more about them: How To Change Your Age On Tumblr | Date Of Birth.

The Content you see options allow you to filter and control the content (posts) that you see on your Tumblr Dashboard. You can filter content using tags, keywords, and community labels. Read more about them: Tag and Post Content Filtering | Community Labels.

The Active Sessions provide information about the Browser through which you browse/use Tumblr, Location (Country Name and IP Address), and Last seen. If you see anything unusual or unrecognized you can cancel the session by clicking the “X” icon.

The Delete account option allows you to delete your Tumblr account permanently.

  • To delete your account click on the Delete account button.

If you delete your account you will lose access to everything like your blogs, posts, likes, messages, themes, etc. You cannot restore Tumblr after it is deleted.

  • Provide your Email and Password.
