Don’t search in folders, look for your files below the folders. If you don’t find your Bluetooth files there read the above comments you might get help.

I send a PDF file but I don't find in temp folder I found other files but my Bluetooth files are not here

    1. Meer Basit

Search your C:/ drive with name and extension like “File_Name.pdf”. If you don’t remember the name simply search with “.pdf” extension. Don’t forget to enable Hidden Files.

I did 1,2,3 and the 4, I don't have this user name, just User after Users. If I was able to watch the video right after, it should be on my laptop somewhere right? I tried searching in Recycle Bin for the video thinking that it has been deleted yet, can't find it.

    1. Meer Basit

If you have sent, it should be somewhere in your laptop. Search all the folders inside Users directory i.e Administrator, Default User, Default account, User, etc. If you don’t find your files by any mean you can recover your videos on mobile by a recovery software. When you send files via bluetooth again make sure to give desktop path so that you can easily find them.

Hi Meer, I am unable to find the videos I transferred via Bluetooth from my phone. I can no longer find the videos on my phone neither on the laptop. I followed this, C:Users"Main User Name"AppDataLocalTemp, I don't have this, instead I have C:UsersUserAppDataLocalTemp, but the folder is empty. When I transferred the files, I was able to watch the video I am referring to. Did I missed something? What do I need to do? I really the need that video. Hope you can help.

1.) Have you turned on “Hidden items”?
2.) In some Windows versions the location for Bluetooth folder is different from “AppData”. The files could be found in My Document, Downloads, Desktop, etc.
      3) If you know the name of your file you can search it directly from the Windows search bar like “myvideo.mp4”. If you don’t know the name of your video, search with its extension like “.mp4”. Don’t forget to enable “Hidden items”.
      4) What is the name of your Windows Account Name(Local Account Administrator Name) through which you login to Windows? If you have named it “FrancisM” it should be listed in the “Users” folder in the C:/ Directory. Your path will be “C:UsersFrancisMAppDataLocalTemp.

Are those files are your files that you received via Bluetooth? If not then don’t open them, they are extra files. Look for your files only.

The files are there but the folder isn't necessarily named "Blue tooth" or "Temp". Change your folder settings to "View Large" and you will see which folder they are contained in if you are using windows 10.

  18. Avatar

Thank you! And how can I change the default folder to a less crazy option lol?

Yes, it is possible. Your default location may have been set Document folder by Windows.

There is no folder named Bluetooth received files

    1. Meer Basit

You have misunderstood dear. “Bluetooth received files” is not a folder name. “Bluetooth received files” are the files that you will receive via bluetooth. “Temp” is the folder where you have to find your bluetooth received files.

there is no folder 'app data' where you indicated.

    1. Meer Basit

AppData is a hidden folder. I have shown how to show hidden folders. Please try again you must be missing something.
